Please bring two pictures (preferably 8" x 10") to The Model Convention. If you're wondering what kind of pictures you should show a scout, please read this funny and educational article published by Fashionmilk.
Model Emma van Engelen (Tjarda Model Managent), who herself was discovered at The Model Convention, shows you how.
If you already have a portfolio please feel free to bring it to picture review. The more pictures, the better. We will help you select the right ones for TMC.
You do not need professional pictures. As a matter of fact, most agencies prefer you don’t. They just want to see what you look like.
Use daylight. Move close to the window and open the curtains or, if there’s not enough space, go outside!
A simple white wall as background is perfect. Make sure there’s nothing else in the background since that is too distracting.
Wear simple clothes that show your figure. Jeans and a little top is perfect.
Take pictures straight on, both a full-body and a close-up from your face.
If you have long hair, please make sure to pull it off your face as well. An agency wants to see the shape of your face.
Also make a picture of your profile.
And last but not least: Smile! An agency wants to see if you have good teeth. Don’t worry if you have braces, we still want to see you smile.
